0.25 Mile Walking Lunges (Holy hell that’s a lot of lunges)
I’m very curious about how my legs will (or won’t!) perform tomorrow. Doing that many consecutive lunges (approximately 400, I think) taught me that I have a flexibility deficit, particularly on my left side. I realized that my left hip doesn’t always open up all the way, meaning that my squat doesn’t sink as deep and I have to stand up from a somewhat awkward angle. Now I can start focusing on this problem with squat cleans and sumo deadlifts.
I also considered a flaw in my new exercise design: I should not have planned to do a 3 mile run tomorrow. Definitely shouldn’t have planned on that. I’m going to do it, but the next three day cycle will go like this: Lower Body, Upper Body, Run.
